Compliance Engineer (f/m)

The Compliance Engineer is responsible for ensuring product compliance with regulatory requirements for product safety, utility interconnection, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), and materials restrictions. He/she works within engineering teams to guide, test and evaluate designs and achieve compliance.

Major duties and responsibilities:

In the day-by-day activity, the candidate will have to:

· Work with regulatory standards, certification bodies (mainly European) to obtain and maintain certifications throughout the product life cycle
· Plan and manage compliance tasks for assigned programs
· Provide requirements to design teams through specifications and collaboration
· Perform detailed evaluation of designs to ensure compliance and provide feedback to designers
· Plan and facilitate testing for product safety, utility interconnection and EMC compliance
· Write and maintain formal test reports and other compliance documentation
· Work with certification bodies and test houses to obtain testing, evaluation, and certification services, and to determine requirements and negotiate interpretations
· Perform as a cross-functional team member to achieve the technical, schedule and budget objectives of product development and sustaining engineering projects
· Stay current with best practices in conformity assessment and relevant technical fields
· Participate in relevant standards development committees
· To update and to train the R&D team on new regulations managing the regulation database
