Manager Business Analyst

Job description

SUMMARY OF JOB:

· Analyse data sets obtained through primary and secondary research
· Create dashboards/visualization/ reports for tracking trends such as in Revenue, Pricing, Cost, Quantities, Margins, by geography, by product, by channel, by technology etc. for SE products and where applicable for competitor products
· Summarize and publish insights based on the data analytics and propose recommendations to senior leadership team on opportunities for business growth

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Collaborate with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision
· Translate conceptual business requirements into clear specifications
· Document and validate requirements by stakeholders/project sponsors
· Use Primary and Secondary research to collect and compile data
· Analyse and publish dashboards/reports per project scope
· Create minimum viable product to demonstrate results, get feedback and update the specifications as needed
· Develop the product per the updated specifications
· Automate and document the dashboard/report
· Create process models for data flow and identify/suggest improvements to drive speed and efficiency

EDUCATION – MINIMUN REQUIRED LEVEL:

·  A bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement in fields including business, computer science, engineering, science, finance, economics, statistics, business and related fields
·  Master's degree or higher preferred

EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED:

·  Three to five years related work experience. 2 years as Business Analyst
·  Experience in other BI tools such as OBIEE, tableau, with Python, Apache Spark, NoSQL/Hadoop, SQL, Data Visualization, Machine Learning or Artificial intelligence is helpful.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS – REQUIRED:

·  Proficient in Excel
·  Ability to work with large data sets from various sources
·  Excellent analytical, mathematical, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills
·  Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
·  Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail
·  Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it
·  Highly self-motivated
·  Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
·  Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
·  Project management skills including planning, organizing, and managing resources
·  Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives
·  Skilled at influencing without authority.
