What do you get to do in this position?

Perform product assembly using both discrete and sub-assembly level components by reading and applying documented assembly work instructions. Actions include proper selection, handling and installation of components using both tools/machinery and methods identified in the assembly instructions. Additionally may be responsible for material identification, movement, storage and disposal to support production.

· Reads and comprehends instructions and follows established policies and procedures
· Assembles components and fastens parts and subassemblies accurately, thoroughly and quickly to approved specifications.
· May assemble board level components using solder pot and point to point soldering techniques
· Communicate with other stations on the assembly line to ensure maximum speed and accuracy and other functions as needed
· Part number tracking and documentation
· Manage small parts stock set
· Maintain and recommend specialized tool set
· Reports any non-conformance or production barriers to production management with a recommended solution
· Material identification, movement, storage and disposal to support production.

· Performs all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures to include wearing applicable PPE; performs ergonomic stretches
· Consistently follows lean manufacturing concepts including 5S
· Ability to flex to additional roles/responsibilities as needed

Qualifications :

This job might be for you if you have the following qualifications:

Required:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
-High attention to detail
-Must have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
-Capable of reading assembly instruction and wiring diagrams.

- Experience using hand held tools such as a screw driver and/or hand held power tools.
- Computer literate at the basic level
- Ability to work alone and with others
- Self-motivated
- Ability to read and follow work instructions

Desirable:
- Prior use of powered industrial trucks such as stand-up fork truck
- Experience in the basics of point-to-point soldering.
- Work experience with solder pots or wave solder equipment
- Intermediate skills in Access, Excel and Word
- Previous manufacturing or assembly experience
- Previous material handling / inventory control experience
- Experience reading wiring diagrams

P hysical Demands:
-Visual inspection of work required
-Ability to read/view items close up or at a distance
-Can lift up to 26 pounds without lift assistance.
-Continuous walking and standing throughout the shift
-Manipulate and grip small objects with either or both hands.
-Frequent reaching, carrying, pushing, and pulling
-Occasional bending, and squatting
-Ability to distinguish the difference between colors
