What do you get to do in this position?

· Participate and lead specification, design, analysis, development and support of Centeron wireless tank level monitors and associated support devices and Robertshaw Industrial Controls products.
· Prove out design concepts through a combination of simulation and physical laboratory implementation/testing.
· Specify microprocessors, logic, semiconductors, modules, and passive components.
· Coordinate, facilitate and drive design decisions of projects, verify that all design best practices are met.
· Develop tank sensing solutions using guided wave radar, static pressure, ratio-metric sensors, and simple switch sensors.
· Develop long life, battery based monitor designs.
· Provide detailed simulations of critical circuits using SPICE or similar tools.
Work closely with all other engineering disciplines to address requirement and create/deliver efficient, high quality, cost optimized products.
· Perform root cause analysis of difficult problems and document problem resolution methodologies.
· Work closely with regulatory team and remaining abreast of the latest developments in engineering and regulatory requirements including UL, CSA, IEC, FCC, especially to guide future development efforts.
· Work with quality and safety team to address safety/liability concerns.
· Support project planning activities
- Estimate the scope of work, part and materials cost
- Participate in preparation of project stage gate review documentation
· Assist the preparation and review of product manuals, application notes, service documentation, etc.
· Carry designs from concept to manufacture according to product management processes. This involves working in a collaborative cross-functional team.
· Create detailed hardware design documentation tracking product development and providing system design documentation.
· Support sustaining engineering efforts for all products and,
· Work with management team to achieve product design milestones and reports on progress as required by the Company's design development processes.

Qualifications :

This job might be for you if have:

·  Working experience with circuit simulation tools.
·  Must be well versed in analog and RF design principles.
·  Experience with Design for Manufacture, Reliability, Test, and Cost (DFx)
·  Proven ability to function with minimal supervision while also leading others toward project goals through strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated successful experience.
·  Proven ability to evaluate, specify, implement, validate and do hands-on troubleshooting of all types of circuits/components: microprocessors (PIC, MSP430, ARM), wireless modules, switching power supplies, FETs/Transistors, logic, and passive parts.
·  Have experience with design practices, safe work practices
Requires experience in new product introduction: which includes product structure, bills of material, engineering change orders, and manufacturing and test processes
·  Demonstrated project awareness and technical leadership skills
·  The ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment
·  The ability to work and think at a system level
·  The ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, principles and solutions
·  Possess good written and oral presentation skills and the ability to communicate ideas effectively to management
