About the Opportunity

As part of the Engineering & Technical Services Department of the Scoppito plant, reporting to the Engineering and Technical Services Manager. The main responsibility of the resource is to guarantee the activities related to the pharmaceutical qualification of machines, plants and premises and to implement the site's industrial automation projects.

About Sanofi Business Unit

Founded in 1972, the Scoppito plant covers an area of 233,000 square meters, of which 28,000 square meters are covered. A highly automated site, Scoppito is defined as Fully Integrated Factory, with management systems and processes integrated at the operational level.
The Scoppito plant is one of the Sanofi Group's strategic sites for the production and packaging of solid oral products. The growth of the Scoppito plant, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2012, goes through investments: 26 million are planned for the four-year period 2012-2015, with the aim of improving the technological equipment already at the forefront of the site and to start production of the Maalox® antacid chewable tablets previously made at the Sanofi plant in Origgio (VA).
Certifications: The plant is certified ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 and, in 2002, won the worldwide safety award announced by the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Issuing and execution of qualification protocols (IQ / OQ) of machines and plants;
• Issuance and execution of qualification protocols (PQ) for utilities;
• Interface with Quality Assurance for all issues with GMP relevance;
• Fronter in the event of Audit by external regulatory bodies.

About You

To excel in this role you will need to have:
• Excellent knowledge and experience in the application of the main safety regulations: “testo unico per la sicurezza”, machine directive, ATEX and PED regulations;
• Knowledge / experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, basic electromechanics, electrical switchboard, motion control, industrial instrumentation;
• Knowledge and proven experience of process control technologies / machines / utilities (SCADA, PLC, industrial PC);
• Knowledge of the main structured and object oriented programming languages (Pascal, C ++, PHP, Java, Java Script);
Essential requirements:
• Master's degree in electronic engineering, computer science or electrical engineering;
• Experience of at least 3/5 years in the role;
• Excellent knowledge of the most widespread IT tools such as: Office,, SAP;
• Excellent knowledge of English;
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical processes, GMP and HSE standards and Lean Manufacturing;
• Attitude to achieving challenging goals, team working and integrity;
• Ability to manage time / priority / projects and stress;
• Tension to results and continuous improvement;
• Problem solving and a strong aptitude for flexibility.

It would be advantageous to have (not essential):

• The knowledge of French will be considered as a plus.
