Job description



Key Responsibilities:

·  Ensure internal customers are provided with the right technical solution within process discipline
·  Inspire internal customers by providing innovative solutions/options for project feasibility and conceptual design
·  Development of technical solutions around operational & business goals
·  Implement Global Biologics Engineering design standards
·  Conduct reviews of risks and facilitate implementation of design approaches to mitigate those risks
·  Use specialist (SME) knowledge and experience to solve complex tasks around drug substance manufacturing operations
·  Develop and implement tools for risk assessment and early-phase project execution framework
·  Deliver on-the-job knowledge sharing/training/mentoring within DTS
·  Follow Industry technology trends and maintain knowledge within key technical disciplines
·  Convey and share knowledge within DTS
·  Review and assess lessons learned from projects, recommend improvements of tools/methods and give input to implementation
·  Review compliance aspects of process design against global regulatory standards, focused on CPPs
·  Support development of new methods/tools/ for Process design execution and improve existing solutions supporting an operational approach
·  Be engaged in local professional network

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

·  B.S or M.S. degree in process engineering discipline
·  Minimum 10 + years of experience in bio-manufacturing design/consulting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

·  Recognized expert within process discipline and Subject Matter Expert in the technical competencies within the process discipline
·  Knowledge of both stainless steel and single-use manufacturing equipment platforms
·  Knowledge of the life-cycle requirements for bio-manufacturing process development, plant design, tech transfer, and start-up
·  Experience in multi-product plant design in biologics
·  Act as a technical leader who sets standards within the GBE and supports knowledge transfer globally
·  Keep close contact with the market and internal customers to spot current/future requirements (trends)
·  Be passionate about technical discipline and eager to develop ideas and spread the message
·  Be adept at finding better methods and solutions for our internal customer/project requirements
·  Participate actively in global site needs
·  Experience in the execution (design, build, start-up) of capex projects for drug substance manufacturing
·  Experience and comfort working in complex corporate environment
