About the Opportunity

Purpose of the job is:

·  To act as the finance business partner to a selection of Enabling Functions (corresponding to GSFs).
·  The Finance BP will ensure the provision of quality, accurate and timely financial support, driving accountability for performance and monitoring of expenses and investments.
·  The role also supports a strong link between the Global Function areas (controllers) and the FP&A team to support financial planning, monitoring and reporting.
·  Location: Reading.

Key responsibilities

Act as Finance business partner for assigned areas :

·  Develop financial knowledge of budget holders and define review processes to support effective prioritisation of investment/spend activities.
·  Co-ordinate the Forecasting and Business Planning exercises for defined functions.
·  Assist in evaluation of investment/commercial opportunities and resource allocation decisions.

Monitoring financial performance Control Processes :

·  Ensure control of business operations in line with Group policy. Implement internal financial controls within supported areas in accordance with both internal and external standards to ensure integrity of the system and to comply with external and internal audit requirements.

Management of Resources :

·  Adheres to company defined processes for the selection of and agreement of commercial terms with vendors.
·  Understands and uses internal procedures and tools to ensure the compliant and efficient operation of the “Purchase to Pay” process.

Ethical Leadership :

·  Takes personal accountability to use personal experience and knowledge, as well as the training and tools provided by Sanofi, to maintain a good knowledge and understanding of all ethics and governance relevant to the role (including the Industry Code of Practice, Sanofi Policies and Procedures and any relevant legal requirements); and demonstrate personal leadership in applying these to all work undertaken.

About You

To obtain excellent result, you should:

·  Part qualified in CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent and have at least 3 years relevant finance experience.
·  Good financial modelling skills.
·  Good commercial understanding (including outside the pure Pharma environment).
·  Demonstrated communication skills.
·  Ability to influence/persuade at Senior Management and Leadership team level.
·  Analytical, creative and demonstrated ability to anticipate risks.
·  Delivery-focussed with proven record of performance.
·  Project management experience desirable.
