Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of design principles, practices and implementation in complex systems and assignments. General responsibilities include design concept generation, participating in design reviews, development and testing to assess performance against design specification; reliability testing, and assessment of system interactions. Makes independent decisions. Assist in the development of manufacturing processes and troubleshooting issues to determine root cause and possible engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

·  Executes experiments; participates in experimental design.
·  Utilizes DOE where appropriate.
·  Participates in technical team activities.
·  Shares knowledge and expertise with others.
·  Participates in project planning, process updates and contributes to experimental design.
·  Prepares and delivers presentations of project results to own or other groups.
·  Monitors work to ensure quality, and continuously promote Quality First Time.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:BS degree or equivalent in a directly related discipline

Experience: Minium 4 years of related experience.MS degree in directly related discipline + 2 years of related experience required; OR, PhD degree in a directly related discipline and no experience required.

·  Strong understanding of engineering principles and concepts.

·  Uses company practices for SW integration and test.

·  Strong in one and capable in two others. (From the following: Qualitative UX research; Quantitative UX research; Data visualization; Business&Prioritization modelling; Interaction design; Visual design; Special design areas; Engineering frameworks; UX/UE Evaluation; UE process in medical devices; UX/UE frameworks; Workshop facilitation)
·  Keeps up to date with UX trends.
·  Decision making within own project / area of responsibility while understanding impact beyond their project. Drive alignment of their designs across projects
·  Consistently demonstrates Roche values and growing in areas of Roche core competencies.
·  Willing to challenge own ideas based on feedback.
·  Comfortable with change and implementation upon guidance. Brings forward ideas for problem solving in area of responsibility.
·  Embedded in project team. May be engaged in cross-functional or cross-organizational working group. Plan, prepare and conduct Usability Validations / Summative Usability Tests.
