Site Operations Partner: Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor

The Chapter of Site Operations ensures that the on-site facilities are at all times maintained and operated to meet our North Star of delivering better outcomes to patients faster by providingflexible resourcing across fit-for-purpose teams to address specific needs and priorities of the business whilst ensuring asafe, secure and comfortable working environment.

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced HSE Advisor to work as part of its Site Operations team.

Comprehensive, extensive working knowledge and understanding of UK health and safety and environment legislation, standards and directives is required to fulfil this role:

·  Advise on and implement all aspects of organisational health and safety and environmental protection
·  Responsible person for Roche Welwyn's fire safety and emergency arrangements
·  Investigate accidents and incidents
·  Implement site wide safety and environmental initiatives, improvements and awareness campaigns
·  Carry out regular external 3rd party audits and internal site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
·  Ensure working practices are safe and comply with relevant legislation
·  Prepare health and safety and environmentstrategies and developing internal policy
·  Lead in-house training with employees at all levels on health, safetyand environment issues
·  Lead site safety committee
·  Review and advise on riskassessments where appropriate and advise on risk reduction and mitigation
·  Ensure accurate and timely reporting and compliance, data analysis, data validation, submission and sign off for all internal and external statutory deliverables
·  Maintain, update and review of the local SHE Management System

·  Business Partner with key stakeholders
·  Excellent written and spoken communication skills in order to explain health, safety and environment processes to a range of people and to give presentations/training to groups

Qualifications required (or working towards):

·  IOSH managing safely
·  NEBOSH National General Certificate or Diploma

NEBOSH Fire Safety & Risk Management Certificate

·  IEMA or similar

Our UK Pharmaceutical head office is situated in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, with beautiful countryside surrounding the area. Supported by major motorways & airports as well as being a 30 minute train ride to London, access is easy.
