Head Apprenticeship Training (m/f) - EFZ Chemistry Laboratory

Apprenticeship training is an established tradition at Roche, and firmly rooted in our corporate strategy. At our Basel/Kaiseraugst site, we develop the next generation of professionals by training around 300 apprentices at any one time in 14 different professions. Roche plays a meaningful role as one of the major “training enterprises” in and for the Basel region. Thus, the number of apprenticeship positions covers, with the capacity of the training infrastructure, the internal demand and exceeds it.

As Head Apprenticeship Training for EFZ Chemistry Laboratory you lead a team of 7 trainers and look after about 80 apprentices during their training. You are involved in the recruitment of apprentices, teach them and you actively build and maintain relationships with trainers in the business. You are responsible for the technical and pedagogical development of this department as well as for the completion of the final apprenticeship examinations and work together with authorities and the vocational school.

Further main responsibilities include:

·  Future- and business-oriented development of the professional group
·  Goal-oriented collaboration with the apprentice managers in the business
·  Agility-based leadership of your own trainer team
·  Coordination and collaboration with authorities and the vocational school
·  Contribute and participate in inter-company committees and commissions
·  Further development of the teaching material and training in technical as well as methodical-didactic matters
·  Point of contact to parents and legal representatives

Besides, the following experience and skills are required:

·  Training as a chemistry / biochemistry FH, preferably with a first education as a laboratory EFZ specialization in chemistry or biology
·  Sound knowledge of the subjects relevant to your profession (chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics) and several years of professional experience. A methodical and didactic further education is an advantage
·  Passion to accompany and train young people and know how to impart theoretical and practical knowledge in a practical and exciting way through your didactic skills and to support the apprentices in their personal development
·  Team-oriented personality is characterized by your own initiative and your willingness to further development
·  Fluent German and English skills are required

Ausbildungsleiter/in für Laboranten EFZ Fachrichtung Chemie der Berufsbildung Roche Basel / Kaiseraugst

Die Berufsbildung Roche Basel / Kaiseraugst ist in die lokale HR-Organisation am Standort eingebettet. Diese Organisation verantwortet die Berufsbildung für ungefähr 300 Lernende in unterschiedlichen Berufen.

Als Leiter/in der Laborantenausbildung EFZ Fachrichtung Chemie führen Sie ein Team von 7 Ausbildern und betreuen rund 80 Jugendliche während ihrer Ausbildung. Sie engagieren sich bei der Rekrutierung und Einstellung der Lernenden, pflegen den Kontakt zu Berufsbildnern der Linie und erteilen Unterricht. Sie sind verantwortlich für die fachliche und pädagogische Weiterentwicklung dieser Abteilung sowie für die Durchführung der Lehrabschlussprüfungen und arbeiten mit Ämtern, Behörden und der Berufsschule zusammen.

Ihre Aufgaben umfassen:

·  Zukunfts- und geschäftsorientierte Entwicklung der Berufsgruppe
·  Zielgerichtete Zusammenarbeit mit den Ausbildungsverantwortlichen der Linie
·  Agilitäts-basierte Führung des eigenen Ausbildungsteams
·  Koordination und Zusammenarbeit mit Ämtern, Behörden und Berufsfachschule
·  Mitarbeit und Gestaltung von Aufgaben in überbetrieblichen Gremien und Kommissionen
·  Weiterentwicklung der Lehrmittel und Ausbildung in fachlichen sowie methodisch-didaktischen Belangen
·  Kontaktperson zu Eltern und gesetzlichen Vertretern

Ihre Qualifikation:

·  Ausbildung als Chemiker / Biochemiker FH, vorzugsweise mit einer Erstausbildung als Laborant EFZ Fachrichtung Chemie oder Biologie
·  Fundierte Kenntnisse in den berufsrelevanten Fächern (Chemie, Biologie, Physik, Mathematik) und verfügen über eine mehrjährige Berufserfahrung. Eine methodisch-didaktische Weiterbildung ist von Vorteil
·  Freude am Umgang mit und an der Ausbildung von jungen Menschen und verstehen es, durch Ihr didaktisches Geschick theoretisches und praktisches Wissen praxisnah und spannend zu vermitteln und die Lernenden in ihrer persönlichen Entwicklung zu unterstützen.
·  Teamorientierte Persönlichkeit, die sich durch Eigeninitiative und die Bereitschaft zur ständigen Weiterbildung auszeichnet
·  Fliessende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse werden vorausgesetzt
