The purpose of the Training Coordinator role is to lead the successful delivery of all retail & operations training activities including, on-boarding & orientation, planning induction schedules and coordinate the travel and accommodation requirements for all new starters.
You will:
Ensure that when training is delivered by other Managers or junior staff, they are doing so in accordance with the training material and checklists
· Where applicable deliver training to new starters yourself
· Involvement with the training of boutique staff partaking in internal services throughout the business & group companies
· Sign off on new starter checklists to ensure training has been delivered according to the schedule
· Liaise with Department Heads & HR to review the progress of new starters and re-train/update where applicable
· Design, develop and deliver training material ensuring that you're evaluating the effectiveness of the training but obtaining feedback from the target audience
· Compile and improve the training material that is used in all departments to ensure it is current and effective
· Train new joiners on in-house systems / relevant procedures and policies
· Spend time with longer-standing staff to learn best practice and shadow. Learnings around processes which are identified as successful should then be shared with all staff
· Use the Red Flag process to identify training needs around policies and procedures
· Work closely with managers who have under-performing staff & to assist where possible
· Spend time with managers who have training needs or weaknesses to ensure they’re capable of delivering the required results from their stores.
You’ll have:
· Excellent communication skills and patient individual
· Experience as a self-starter, proactive and able to work with minimal direction
· Ability to thrive within and enjoy an ambiguous ever-changing environment
· Clear proven record of designing and supplying a variety of training styles and initiatives
· Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
· Fluency in English, spoken and written
· Excellent organizational skills, planning and good time management
· Excellent presentation skills, with a solid understanding of different learning methods & styles.
