AFTER-SALES SERVICE ESTIMATOR / FINAL CONTROLLER
The primary role of the After-Sales Service Estimator/ Final Controller (EFC) is to be responsible for examining all incoming client and stock repairs pieces in the Workshop. Upon receipt, the EFC will assess what type of repair servicing is needed and will systematically update the information in SAP. The Quality controlling part of the role is with primary focus on High End pieces, Production, Set for You, Loose stones and after sale service as needed (and not limited to)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Diagnosis:
· Examine merchandise for defects in finish and functionality in accordance with brand standards and recommend the appropriate repair servicing that is needed.
· Systematically enter the item conditions, repair details and cost estimate in SAP using the proper system codes and while ensuring adherence to the lead time established by the brand.
Quality Control:
· Examine manufactured stock merchandise to verify they are in accordance to the brands quality standards
· Examine completed repaired merchandise to verify that the servicing has been completed in accordance to the request.
· Ensure that select removed client components (such as links) are returned to the client and that scrap is properly identified and placed in the proper recycling containers.
· Knowledge and adherence of all security procedures.
· Examine loose stones with following the brand processes.
· Record quality issues in SAP and notify the applicable department.
· Assist in other areas as needed.
Extra Projects as needed:
· Participate in the continuous process improvement of the workshop
· Assigning precious metal bank to technicians as needed
· Participate in cleaning and maintaining the workshop
JOB PROFILE
Education:
· Jewelry manufacturing diploma or similar experience
· Certification or accreditation from a Technical or Gemological institution a plus or Associates degree
Preferred Experience:
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in fine jewelry manufacturing and/or repair
· SAP experience is a plus
Technical Skills/Abilities:
· Abilities to understand the technical around jewelry manufacturing
· Basic knowledges in Excel
· Solid written and verbal communication skills
· Must be able to effectively communicate issues with other departments and help to solve problems
Personal Skills:
· Capable of multi-tasking
· Ability to manage small projects
