We are currently recruiting for a Customs Clerk to join our passionate, lively and customer focussed Dispatch and Stock team!

You will be at the hub of the business, ensuring that all transfers/deliveries are documented accurately to ensure that shipments are sent out smoothly and efficiently. Ideally, you will have strong administrative skills, with experience of working with Microsoft Outlook, and all relevant software’s plus, have previous experience in liaising with third party hauliers on customs related issues.

 

Role Insight

 

·  Processing international shipments – internal and external, temporary and permanent import & export processes
·  Working with our global logistics teams
·  Ensure the smooth and accurate processing of our imported and exported goods worldwide
·  Liaising with customs and courier agents to assist with parcel clearance
·  Working with the head of logistics and IT to implement processes
·  Accurate record-keeping for auditing and monitoring
·  HMRC declaration and compliance
·  Assisting the Dispatch and Stock Control departments when required.

 

About you…

·  Some knowledge of customs would be advantageous but, not essential
·  Excellent administration and organisation skills
·  Previous experience of working on ERP and online shipping solution tools.
·  Strong communication & problem-solving skills.
·  Some knowledge of HMRC declaration and compliance
·  Experience of liaising with third-party logistics companies
