Job description

Red Bull Student Brand Managers (SBMs) are a part of the most dynamic and empowered student ambassador program in the world. Our SBMs are passionate about Red Bull and share their love for the brand with their peers. They are responsible for driving the brand image on campus, building belief in the product benefits and ensuring long term loyalty starting with the college experience. The goals of the Student Brand Manager program are to reach new students, excite students, increase sales and manage the Red Bull brand on a collegiate level.

In 1987, Red Bull not only launched a completely new product, it created and has led ever since a whole new product category, Energy Drinks. Nowadays Red Bull employs more than 11500 people in over 171 countries, selling over 6 billion cans a year. ·  CAMPUS MISSION

Identify key groups we must win on campus

Build a campus plan that ensures an impact (aligned by local market needs) on the total undergraduate and graduate audience throughout semester in accordance with the SBM KPIs, engaging new users and diverse groups on campus via the following tactics:

Driving trial on a daily basis via one on one seeding and coordination of Wings Team

Building image via Red Bull owned events, hacks, screenings, sharing RB properties via social media

Integrate our product and brand with Big Moments, unique to campus experiences and select third party events

Drive visibility and availability of the product by placing POS and passing on sales opportunities to the CCS/DPM

Develop relationships with campus opinion leaders to build brand loyalty among a variety of groups on campus

Build relations with and secure coverage of RB properties via the campus media

Adhere to event/activity/training guidelines to ensure quality execution in aspects of the role

 

·  PRODUCT AND BRAND EXPERT

Act as a Red Bull ambassador at all times: always professional and courteous to consumers/campus contacts/authorities

Become a credible product and brand expert: know the product ingredients and brand values

Identify relevant image and usage occasions: incorporate brand and product knowledge into an ambitious campus plan

Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Red Bull properties and athletes

Maintain knowledge of global, national and regional events and initiatives

Build brand awareness via social network sharing of relevant Red Bull content

 

·  SALES SUPPORT

Assist local sales team to ensure perfect distribution and visibility on and around campus

Visit local accounts to check stock and point of sale displays

Identify distribution opportunities on and around campus

Routinely work with distributors to open new accounts and support sales drives

Occasionally participate in meetings with local sales team to align marketing and sales strategies

 

·  MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION

Ensure a constant flow of new ideas on Red Bull's online collegiate portal (RBU)

Submit activity through pictures and reports via RBU

Report school beverage contracts and top sales opportunities on and around campus

Aid in recruitment and training of potential SBMs

Be able to identify future Wings Team members and exchange contact information for CCS

Identify future sampling opportunities and share relevant information with CCS and Wings Team Captains
