These eleven-month placements are for students who need to complete a placement as part of their degree. You’ll work alongside graduate trainees and experienced professionals on live and interesting client projects. So you’ll get a good insight into working life at PwC.

Global Mobility

PwC’s mobility vision is to invest in immediate and future mobility and inspire our people as a seamless network – to deliver quality services to our clients and each other. The Global Mobility (GM) network facilitates the global mobility programme providing expert consulting and services to our PwC colleagues which help to enable the achievement of this vision.

The GM team is a team of 20 who work cohesively in a supportive and collaborative environment. We offer two placements, one aligned to the GM and International Business Travel (IBT) population, the other aligned to our Immigration responsibilities. Both roles are varied, technical and analytical.  The GM/IBT role has key responsibilities which support the team in Management Information (MI) reporting, database and project management as well as supporting our IBT population. The immigration role has key responsibilities in the reporting and management of our sponsor obligations and involves a great degree of project management. It is an exciting role with opportunity to develop technical knowledge and skills in the field and work closely with a range of stakeholder groups in Human Capital (HC) and our Legal team to embed and improve immigration processes. This placement will be challenging, exciting, fast-paced and most of all rewarding.

Global Mobility - Immigration

Compliance is at the core of what we do, one aspect of this is immigration. Immigration rules and Brexit are high on the political agenda, making UK Immigration a fast paced, ever changing environment, with laws becoming increasingly restrictive.  The firms Immigration Team, part of the wider GM team, play a pivotal role across the firm, ensuring the firm’s obligations with respect to UK immigration laws are met whilst supporting the firm’s strategic mobility and resourcing objectives.

What you’ll do

•Provision of regular and ad-hoc reports to ensure the firm meets its reporting duties and responsibilities as a sponsor Licence holder reporting requisite data to the Home Office

•Adhere to Immigration processes and controls, spotting opportunities for efficiencies and simplification

•Work with various teams in HC and Legal to ensure processes and procedures support the accurate reporting to the Home Office of joiners, changes and leavers

•Ensure employees personal records are accurately recorded and maintained

•Facilitate a fully effective process for the validation of eligibility to work documents for all new joiners to the UK firm

•Provide routine guidance to HC colleagues on immigration processes and legislation.

What you’ll gain

By experiencing life inside one of the world’s largest professional services organisations, you’ll have a fantastic opportunity to build and work on your commercial and personal skills. Working alongside specialists, you’ll work on projects to give you the best insight into what we’re about. You’ll have the opportunity to build networks with your colleagues and peer group - factors which will make a real difference when you return for your last year at university.

What you’ll need
