Description

You will lead architecture and design management for P&G Building Projects across Asia. Working in multidisciplinary internal and external project teams through design management for Facilities Projects, you will ensure projects consistently meet design objectives, business needs and P&G Workplace Standards.

This role will have responsibility for several projects at any given time within several regions.

Your team

This role reports to the Global Architect and is accountable for design delivery to GBS Program & Project Managers. You will build positive relationships with many external parties like JLL, Design Agencies, Construction teams.

•Design Management and Project Delivery driving ground-breaking design and on point employee experience

•Design Governance driving consistent design delivery & processes through governance across our internal/JLL /design project teams, 100% visibility of projects, on time delivery.

•P&G Workplace design capability as foundation for high impact project design and delivery, P&G Workplace is seen as a brand internally and externally.

•Build Design expertise in Engineering Design and Risk network and Real Estate COE networks and develop Architecture Partnerships so projects get staffed accurately

•Personal Development and Training to stay in tune with architecture and design business, trends.

Responsibilities of the role

•Efficiently manage the sequential phases of a design process: feasibility study, design brief and success criteria, basis of design, detailed design, bidding process, execution & shop drawing reviews, permitting and close out of projects.

•Set up processes and systems in the region to govern partner managed & smaller projects.

•Build strong linkage with P&G's Engineering Design and Risk community as well as Design Function.

•Detail best practices and good design approaches in toolkits and standards.

•Enthusiastic about innovating and bring external perspective in.

•Lead and train project, partner and design teams on the tools

Qualifications

•Educational background in Architecture and Design, min Bachelor degree in Architecture (with min. 5 years of proven experience in the field) OR an equivalent of 10 year proven experience in managing projects for Corporate interiors (experience in lab/R&D projects is a plus).
•Demonstrated experience in design management for sophisticated capital projects.
•Experience must cover all phases of a design process and span across the multiple building & technical disciplines involved.
•Ability to translate complex business and corporate objectives into an architectural design brief for capital projects.
•Outstanding communication and influencing skills to lead effective decision making with higher levels of management.
•Relationship management experience, ability to develop and manage design agency partnerships.
•Combine solution oriented thinking to craft pragmatic meaningful design solutions on the spot
•Seek to innovate and empower teams.
•Healthy impatience towards 'status quo
