Our Reading plant produces Gillette and Old Spice brands, some of the world’s most popular shaving preparations, deodorants and anti-perspirants. Every single day is extraordinary here.

We have an exciting role in our Engineering team that could help to move your career forward by providing amazing learning and growth opportunities. We are on the lookout for an outstanding Electrical and Controls Engineer who will be key to supporting our daily manufacturing business by helping to deliver projects to the highest standards. Could you be the one to keep all of our projects on track and delivered to the highest standards? Seeing to it that our master plan projects are all met?

As a member of our Power, Controls & Information Systems (PCIS) team you will be given a variety of projects to lead, predominantly of an electrical and controls nature. We will also be looking to you to provide your technical expertise into larger projects owned by senior project managers. You will need to have a highly technical background and be comfortable with working hands-on during installation and start-up.

For projects under you control, your main focus areas will be:

·  Make sure the PCIS scope is fulfilled from start to finish
·  Giving expert inputs into the technical scope for projects on the department master plan for areas of the Plant
·  Reviewing technical scope in collaboration with contractors and coordinating their work
·  Handling all schedules and resources
·  Ownership of budget and spending for the projects
·  Leading the installation and start up
·  Making clear decisions to ensure execution to the highest standards
·  Learning and reapplying from previous experiences
Qualifications

Technical experience and competence ...

As well as having a continuous improvement attitude to keep advancing processes and standards to systemically improve project delivery, you will be joining us from a background where you have worked collaboratively with teams and from an organisation where there are manufacturing operations. Essentials are:

·  Minimum of HNC in Electrical / Control system
·  Expert in Allen Bradley and/or Omron PLC systems
·  Experienced in electrical and controls to the level required to lead the PCIS scope of a project
·  Current IEE regulations qualification
·  SAP knowledge would be beneficial

Additionally, we would like you to show some experience of working in a production environment, together with mix of being analytical, practical helpful, trustworthy, ambitious, and a leader. If you can demonstrate these skills, experience and traits, then we would love to hear from you.
