The trainee, inserted in the Manufacturing department, will work in collaboration with Industrial Engineering & PMS Manager. The mission of Industrial Engineering area is improving efficiency and optimizing cost in the production area of responsibility. This function supports the production area to realize the production budget and minimize non value-added operations by defining the required technical and human means considering quality, cost, productivity, timing targets and ergonomic aspects.

The trainee will be in charge of:
- Analytical activities, as monitoring of KPI and reporting on plant bottleneck, to improving plants efficiency and productivity such as:

· Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
· Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize efficiency and data quality
· Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources
· Identify, analyse and interpret trends or pattens in complex data sets
· Closely work with management to prioritize business and information needs
· Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

- Supporting the coordination of PMS activities in worldwide plants: application of IE standards and best practice identification and diffusion
- Cooperating in kaizen events and improvement projects in the factories
- Visiting some Pirelli factories on the shop floor, where he will be in contact with maintenance operators

Requirements:

- Management Engineering / IT Engineering

- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques

- Strong knowledge of an experience with reporting packages , databases (SQL, etc.), programming (Python, Xml, Etl frameworks or JavaScript)

- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.)

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings

- Fluent in Italian and English

- Analytical skills, proactivity,ability to work in team , problem solving
