Here at PepsiCo, we have a 12 month student placement opportunity in our Research & Development team based in Leicester.

Focusing our research and development on meeting the latest consumer needs - whether nutrition, refreshment or indulgence –will drive our growth both now and in the future.

This position is within the Sensory And Consumer Insights Team, which is a cross functional global team that delivers expertise and insights for all teams/projects within PepsiCo R&D.

You’ll have lots of autonomy where your decisions will really make a difference to our business and in return you’ll have the chance to develop your skills and experience in a fast paced, energetic environment!

What you’ll get up to:

·  Supporting project managers in all aspects of both sensory and consumer product testing, from experimental design, execution, data capture, analysis, interpretation and reporting.
·  Liaise with Product Developers, distilling large quantities of information to understand key aims and objectives of product testing.
·  Become familiar with Global protocols within the sensory and consumer insights team to understand key drivers of testing designs, timelines, requirements etc
·  Communication (written and verbal) of project updates to Line Manager, peers and key project stake holders

Qualifications/Requirements

What we’re looking for:

·  Undergraduate student following path to a degree level qualification in Food Science/& Technology
·  Initiative and drive to deliver results of trials and activities with the ability to be pro-active and multi-task.
·  Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate to a diverse audience.
·  Self-motivation combined with good organisational skills.
·  Confident to challenge where appropriate but willing to accept final decision is held by line manager.
·  Supportive team player with an accurate, methodical, tidy and reliable approach.
·  Good communication, verbal and written.
·  Computer-literate (Microsoft Office)
·  Full UK driving license is preferable but not essential
·  Please note - It is a requirement that the placement student will be able to participate in tasting sessions on a regular basis, which will include tasting products. What else do you need to know?

This 12 month placement starts in July 2020 , with a salary of £17,500
