about the role

The following position is offered via our affiliate Viacess-Orca.

The ideal candidate and will be required to be on customer site in Valdivia, Chile for the first 3-6 months in the role and then reside in Santigo, Chile with the ability to travel between Valdivia and Santaigo, Chile thereafter.

Mission

As part of TV platform installation on a Chilian Telco customer, you will be the first contact on site. Support and help for installation, day-to-day maintenance and upgrade of the OTT and TV platforms will be your main tasks. You will be the representative of our company in the customer office.

Main Activities/Responsabilites:

·  Install and maintain Viaccess-Orca HeadEnd platform
·  Support the customer by operating Viaccess-Orca platform;
·  Perform technical training for the client's technical and operational teams;
·  Perform scheduled maintenance interventions
·  Support pre-sales team in LATAM for prospects or others customers

about you

Requirements

·  Must have at least 3 years of system integration and technical support engineering experience
·  Expert in the following disciplines:
·  SQL
·  Oracle DBA
·  N-Tier architectures (redundancy, clustering, cache management)
·  Unix/Linux Operating systems
·  Shell scripts
·  Web and J2EE Application servers (apache, squid, jboss)

Knowledge and experience in the following disciplines :

·  Video servers and Set Top Boxes
·  Streaming protocols and video formats
·  DRM (Widevine, PlayReady, Fairplay)

Skills/Abilities

·  Excellent representative and communication skills
·  Customer oriented
·  Willing to travel abroad
·  Innovative – ability to deal with new technologies
·  Self-driven
·  Fluent English
