Job description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will use basic knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture.

Work involves some problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. Gaining competence in own area and acquiring a higher level understanding of role, processes and procedures. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 0-2 years of previous software engineering or related experience.

Front-End Web Developer, Recruiting Operations – Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Front-End Web Developer to join our Development team supporting Oracle Global Talent Advisory. In this role, you will work on various projects that will involve development of new websites for Oracle's hiring campaigns and new applications to sustain the recruitment process.

Responsibilities
·  Develop new user-facing features
·  Work with back-end developers and product owners to improve usability
·  Build reusable code for future use
·  Design mobile-based features
·  Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
·  Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
·  Create mockups and prototypes

Work Experience & Job Specific Competencies


·  BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree with at least 1 year of relevant work experience;
·  Good knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
·  Good knowledge of JavaScript.
·  Knowledge of a responsive design approach, user experience principles.
·  Up to date with latest browser supported features, Dev Tools in Chrome / Firefox
·  Knowledge of image editing tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image (Photoshop or Illustrator).
·  Attention to detail and accuracy.
·  Able to maintain absolute discretion regarding confidential and / or sensitive information;
·  Good verbal and written communication skills, fluent English;

·  Nice to haves:
·  Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as: jQuery, Bootstrap, Knockout / Angular / React / Vue.js
·  Knowledge of CSS preprocessors (Sass or less)
·  Some understanding of code versioning tools, Git
