Software Product Owner (all genders)

Your role:  As a part of the Connected Lab unit you will be working with the BSSN team as a Software Product Owner. You willuide and work with engineering team to create and bring products to market, to increase product efficiency, performance and capabilities. You will manage product backlog, prioritize backlog items based on roadmap and customer requirements. On top you will provide input and technical guidance for product roadmap; identify and streamline related workflows and functionality of existing products, performance and optimizing their potential. You will work closely with engineering team to define and document product specifications, requirements for BSSN Software products and conduct user experience research to determine product improvements. You will have interfaces with Software Architecture and cross-functional teams to meet product deliverables for design, quality and reliability.

You will identify opportunities for new features that serve our customers as well as deliver results on a timely manner despite significant level of ambiguity. You will provide as technical representation in communication with internal and external stakeholders.

 

This role is within our new subsidiary  BSSN Software GmbH  https://www.bssn-software.com/  and based in Darmstadt/Germany. BSSN Software creates software for vendor-neutral analytical and biological data management, based on open standards. This software is sold to end users but also licensed to instrument and software vendors. We are working with the world's leading LIMS and ELN companies, as well as top-tier instrument vendors. At BSSN Software, you have the opportunity to change the game how the world manages analytical and biological data.

 

Who you are:

·  An excellent product owner with years of experience in your field
·  You have a healthy recognition of the laboratory software market
·  Proven success in product development would be great
·  Have you led a team before? Excellent! – this is a nice to have but not essential as long as you are a clear motivator
·  Startup oriented – if you know what this means, it will excite you!
·  You have a ‘get stuff done’ mentality
·  You’re an effective communicator and understand the need for cross departmental collaboration
·  Ideally you can speak German, although English is a must
