Process Scientist (Clearance Services)

Your Role:  an exciting new opportunity has arisen as a Process Scientist within our Clearance Services department in Stirling. In coordination with the Client and internal study management team, you will be responsible for the execution of scaled down purification steps, to provide evidence for the removal of potential viruses from the downstream manufacturing process. You will be responsible for the completion of process steps on behalf of the client and also provide technical support to clients on site in the operation of process related equipment. You will also train and mentor less experienced laboratory personnel in all process related activities, along with being a key member of the project team to support the transfer and execution of process activities. 

 

Who you are:

·  Minimum of BSc in Biological Sciences or related subject (or equivalent work experience)
·  Fully competent commercial experience in a GLP/GMP laboratory or related environment
·  Theoretical knowledge of chromatography and virus filtration techniques
·  Previous experience/knowledge of Protein purification
·  Extensive experience in the use of lab scale AKTA systems and Unicorn software
