Mars Petcare is looking for a Customer Supply Analyst – Affiliate

The Customer Supply Analyst - Affiliate is responsible for providing detailed and complex analysis of data from various sources to deliver continuous improvement in Mars Petcare and customer specific service metrics. In addition, this role is the primary liaison between Mars International Affiliates and Mars Petcare internal supply function and is expected to develop collaborative supply solutions through a strong analytical understanding of inventory, transportation, warehouse management, supply planning, and continuous improvement practices.

The purpose of this role is to leverage data analysis to provide recommendations and solutions to drive best in class service for Mars Petcare customers. This role is expected to make critical decisions and recommendations impacting both the Mars Affiliate customer and Mars Petcare US finished goods inventory. The individual must balance maximizing in-stock, casefill, and on-time goals while minimizing inventory levels. Being the Inter-Company Business (ICB) Process expert while influencing the Affiliate and our internal supply teams to reach mutual success is critical to the effectiveness of the role.

Principle Accountabilities

·  Provides functional expertise & knowledge of SAP to provide proficient order management as the primary operational Affiliate Inter-Company Business (ICB) End-to-End Process Expert for MPC US. Documents and ensures alignment to ICB processes through stakeholder alignment across functions. Seeks out and drive Continuous Improvement opportunities through problem-solving and process mapping.
·  Leads customer impact analysis and resolution during periods of supply constraints. Proactive communication to Affiliate partners of all significant product shortages and recovery dates.
·  Maintains and shares scorecards showing service performance and root cause action plans on a regular basis, weekly and periodic.
·  Leads reporting and analysis of order and shipment data for the Customer Supply team to measure customer level trends, identify customer specific opportunities and to assist with resolution of issues
·  Manages the supply chain interdependencies and is the liaison between Activity Leads, Demand Planning, Customer Supply, Inventory Management, Supply Planning and the Customer. Partners with Mars International Affiliates and Supply Planning to drive alignment on forecast and inventory opportunities
·  Serve as point person for operational execution of all continuous improvement or distribution changes. Manages projects as needed.
·  Leads collaboration meetings with internal/external customers in order to identify opportunities to maximize profit and minimize costs. Leads cost savings initiatives such as freight to customer savings analysis and recommendations, partnering with logistics partners to drive savings for Mars, Inc. Implements and leads follow-through plans.
·  Participate in both internal and external cross functional teams to identify and analyze root cause and ensure resolution plans are executed as agreed to drive supply chain excellence
·  Manage relationship with Third Party Freight Forwarder through period calls and QBRs
·  Ability to adjust, adapt, respond to, and be resourceful in the face of change to deliver business objectives
·  Management of customer sales orders, from receipt through the delivery to Affiliate destination, ensuring high level of customer service
·  Responsible for order entry accuracy, including ensure the right products are ordered, the correct method and location of shipment are applied to the order, and adequate lead time is given to ensure on time delivery to the customer. Includes meeting international shipping requirements such as container bookings and working directly with third-party Freight Forwarder.
·  Recognize and reconcile any potential order conflicts such as deliver/shipping delays, pricing errors, promotional allowances, and out of stock situations to ensure customer orders will deliver on time and complete
·  Develops, analyzes and communicates relevant reports as required for daily business needs of the customer supply team
·  Ability to travel around 10% of time for meetings and training

Key Functional Skills/Knowledge

·  Strong Analytical Skills & Problem Solving – can effectively draw insights from data and develop collaborative solutions for supply chain challenges
·  Advanced technical skills: (SAP, Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Powerpoint)
·  Ability to influence without authority through effective communication/presentation skills
·  Planning and Project Management Skills – able to define scope and timelines for customer improvement projects and follow through to completion

Minimum Qualifications

·  BA/BS in supply chain, logistics, business administration or mathematics
·  1-3 yrs of business experience in supply and/or supply chain operations including customer facing experience
·  Ability to travel up to 10% as required
·  Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel skills. Understanding of systems, including SAP or similar and Data Reporting (Tableau, SAP BW, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

·  3-5 years of business experience in supply and/or supply chain operations
