 JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing communications content and input from various channels, to include by not-limited to: website, email marketing, collateral, sales presentations, videos and advertising. Reporting to Area Director of Marketing, supports the Market Sales organizations in CALA on implementation of marketing strategies.  Responsible and accountable for executing marketing/digital/SEP activities as assigned based on key initiatives and strategies. Ensures that all activities are in alignment with marketing functions and properties are provided the support needed for successful implementation of the marketing plans across the region.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

 

Education and Experience

·       College degree or equivalent in work experience in the industry

·  Hotel property experience, hotel field marketing experience, or related preferred

·       Minimum 2 years’ agency experience with knowledge in areas of print and electronic design- preferred

·       Project management experience. Demonstrated ability to balance the interests and demands of multiple stakeholders

·       Experience in travel or related service industry preferred

·       Capable of managing monthly financial reports with finance department

·       Able to read and interpret property budgets and spreadsheets

·       Strong working knowledge of key database systems and Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word)

·       Impeccable proofreading skills and outstanding grammar

·       Excellent technical and project management skills; ability to handle many diverse projects simultaneously

·       Ability to interface fluidly with Directors of Marketing, Regional Team, Hotel Staff, Corporate Staff, and Vendors

·       Knowledge of photography, production, and print execution

·       Strong knowledge of email marketing creative and execution

·       Working knowledge of advertising agency procedures

·       Working knowledge of the components of an effective marketing plan

·       Detail-oriented, creative, energetic, takes initiative

·       Able to effectively work independently or, at times, as part of a team

·       Fluency of English and Spanish required

Project Management Support

·       Execution of sales and marketing tactics and will be responsible for reporting out on efforts

·       Ensure marketing communications support regional, market, and hotel business objectives and goals

·       Ensure execution and fulfillment of projects as outlined on sales and marketing communications plans

·       Help to manage and track all marketing programs, promotions, and direct mail for the transient and group markets teams

·       Coordinate estimates, projects, and final material closings of jobs

·       Ensure adherence to Corporate Advertising and Marketing Communications standards, brand standards, and format guidelines

·       Ensure Creative efforts are to brand standards

·       Ensure Digital Media tagging, creative, and deployment are accurate and shared with team

·       Knowledge of Photoshop a plus

·       Ensure marketing information provided to the properties is accurate, complete, timely, and enables hotels to meet or exceed guest expectations

·       Develop strong working relationships with outside vendors to ensure quality, cost effective creative executions

·       Upload images and maintain property digital assets and job files

·       Support stakeholder communications, including presentations, webcasts, developing meeting collateral, or maintaining distribution lists

·       Resolves guest issues that arise as a result of the marketing process and brings issues to the attention of regional and property leadership team as appropriate

·       Maintains individual project budgets & processes invoices

 

Billing Reconciliation and reporting

·       Process invoices and track costs for jobs

·       Maintain all property actual expenditures to budget on a period by period basis

·       Analyzes monthly reports and data pertaining to digital performance.

·  Leverages reports to make better decisions and update marketing plan with new initiatives
·  Discusses progress towards goals and overall business objectives and share updated sales and marketing plans
·  Leverages analytical insights to create cohesive story from reports, applies them to develop better promotional offers and determine the optimal marketing mix for the property
·  Answers ad-hoc questions from marketing leaders and teams

•       Reviews content to ensure that related material originating from hotel is appropriate, error-free and complements the brand.
