Qualifications :

Job Summary

· Recruitment: Co-ordinates and maintains the recruitment process to attract, recruit and retain a diverse management and non-management workforce capable of providing strong functional expertise, creativity and entrepreneurial leadership to the property. Utilizes selection and career planning processes that identify the best candidates for open positions in a cost effective and efficient manner to meet the business needs of the operation.

· Total Compensation: Administers and maintains a total compensation structure for both management and non-management associates that balances the needs of the business with the ability to attract and retain the best talent and rewards great performance.

· Training and Development: Supports HR officer/Manager on the property training business plan to ensure all relevant support materials and equipment are ready for each training session and that all room bookings and BEO's are completed

· Associate Relations: Administers policies and procedures to ensure associates are treated fairly and equitably. Supports and embeds a culture that embraces the brand service strategy and supports the present-day business environment.

· Human Resources Department: Creates and sustains a work environment that embraces the brand's culture and focuses on fair and equitable treatment and associate satisfaction to enable business results.




Technical Expertise (Learning and Applying Personal Expertise)

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

Recruitment

· 
Coordinates and compiles relevant recruitment information.

· 
Maintains the recruitment database, including applicant response and any data input.

· 
Ensures that all recruits have full reference checks and that these are followed up if necessary.

· 
Fully compliant with immigration rules and ensures immigration checks are in place for all hires

· 
Conducts telephone screenings, interviews and follows through with line managers to ensure a seamless candidate experience

Total Compensation

· 
Assists with any Compensation and Benefits data compilation

· 
Assists with maternity and paternity requests to include meetings and necessary paperwork and systems processing

Training and Development

· 
Coordinates the administration of all training nominations, training completion and attendance, ensuring databases are fully up to date.

· 
Responsible for communication and administration thereof for all annual statutory /company trainings

· 
Provides support with Associate Orientation, ‘In the beginning - Welcome' training

· 
Ensures all equipment, tools and supplies are booked and available for each training session

· 
Completes all BEO's and checks on breaks and refreshments.

Associate Relations

· 
Assists with regular communication of all Associate Benefits on properties.

· 
Assists with the administration of any employment relations issue (for example Employment Tribunal preparation).

· 
Provides a sounding board for associates who may need to discuss personal issues and maintains confidentiality at all times.

· 
Assists with the organization of any associate events.

· 
Organises and assists with the pre- and post-Associate Engagement Survey sessions

· 
Prepares monthly departmental meeting presentations and shows attendance at meetings

· 
Presents a positive face for the HR team and works to develop self and team profile

· 
Assists with reward and recognition of associates

· 
Ensures that all leavers complete an exit interview and that details are complied to assist the hotel retention strategy.

Human Resources – department focus

· 
Assists with any process administration and the collation of data for relevant reports.

· 
Assists, where necessary, with PeopleSoft data maintenance and tracking.

· 
Provides full administration support for candidate management/recruitment system (GRS) and other related people sourcing resources such as Caterer/Indeed etc. Support with the administration of any payroll of HR information though Oracle (or relevant system) including data collection for Kronos reports

Needs to be extremely efficient and professionally skilled in:

· 
Preparing documents using Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications.

· 
Filing and forward tracing a variety of documents, appointments etc.

· 
Updating and distributing relevant information databases as required

· 
Processing incoming mail.

· 
Maintaining office supplies for the HR department.

· 
Taking meeting minutes as requested.

· 
Attending investigatory meetings and provides an administration support to HODs by taking minutes.

· 
Budget control: raises purchase orders, log budget transactions, process department invoices, report monthly.

· 
Updating data on the celebratory dates/Key Management Data/Contact list etc.

· 
Maintaining, collating and distributing all relevant activity reports.

· 
Responding to various requests for help and information.

· 
Communicating with property associates to provide information and resolving challenges on behalf of those she/he reports to.

· 
Coordinating and handling all related memberships and incentive enrolments and ensuring they are current.

· 
Administration in relation to Long service teas, certificates & gifts, spirit to serve gold bars, town hall meetings, birthdays, anniversaries

· 
Coordinating Associate of the month, supervisor of the month, quarterly awards, annual awards ceremony

· 
Preparation for Labour Turnover to be provided to DHR.

· 
Involvement in HR Metrics & Dashboards

· 
Coordinating and conducting locker audits, bag searches, annual handbook sign offs

· 
Complete administration and checks of North Lodge staff house including accommodation element entries & terminations on Oracle

· 
Ensuring that all payroll is in line with NMW/NLW regulations including accommodation and/or any other deductions

Other

· 
Performs other related tasks as assigned by management.

· 
Ensure that all associate notice boards are up to date and accurate and that all necessary information is displayed.

· 
Complies with all local Hotel SOPs.

· 
Complies with Marriott International Hotels Limited Regional Office policies and procedures.

· 
Supports the compliance with HR Reviews for auditing purposes.
