Job Summary

The Westin Seattle is looking for a Banquet Bartender who serves bar beverages to guests in an enjoyable, energizing, and refreshing manner. The Banquet Bartender will gather all necessary bar supplies, garnishes, spirits, and utensils to properly set a banquet bar to the Westin Seattle standards, ensure all equipment and supplies are returned to their proper location in a thoughtful fashion, be responsible in handling all equipment and linens, and ensure that proper procedures are followed with serving alcoholic beverages. The Banquet Bartender must perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

This is a "casual" position where associates will have to call in for shifts. Candidates must be available to interview on either August 17th or August 18th.

REQUIREMENTS

An exceptional candidate will have an energizing yet relaxing personality and:

-Must speak, read, write and understand the primary languages in the workplace

-Have good communication skills

-Basic computer skills

-Be able to stand and exert well-paced ability for up to four hours in length

-Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

-Must be able to push carts up to 250 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis

- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.

-Have finger dexterity to operate equipment

-High school or equivalent education

-Must have two years of bartending experience in a banquet environment

-Maintain a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance per The Westin Seattle standards

-Be willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

-must have to be willing to receive a Washington State Food Handler’s Card

-must have a mixologist permit
