Job Description:

Reporting to the Head of Sales to Cash, this role is accountable for working as part of a high performing team in a fast-moving shared service environment where passion, creativity and excellence are key. This role will drive the integrity and control in the International financial results. The role requires the individual to exhibit and lead reporting, commercial awareness and systems capabilities, whilst being a trusted business partner to the International finance team in London. The core operational responsibilities of this role will be leading a team to produce a high standard of work that supports the International business. A high energy individual who creates the best environment for inquisitive mindsets, ensuring excellent attention to detail and drive insight that supports action in the International group.

Key accountabilities and measures

• Trading statement

o Pulling together the weekly trading statement (sales ex VAT %)

o Trading statement work is key at quarter end (an area of significant responsibility and a good opportunity for exposure to Finance Director, Head of Financial Control and Head of International Finance)

• Month end

o This role is key in driving the month-end process for International

o Setting and communicating the timetable for activities to be completed prior to consolidation of the International business results

o Working with colleagues to ensure completeness of financials for all areas of the International business.

o Preparing the group management accounts

o Setting the agenda for improvements in the monthly reporting process and final presentation.

• Align reporting with BPC, collaborating with both finance systems and group finance

• Working with finance systems colleagues to enhance systems reporting, and with business partners to assess needs and enhancements

• Coordination of group deliverables for half year and full year reporting

o Q&As and support for Investor Relations

• Improving Ecommerce reporting

• Quality reporting – accurate, timely and well controlled

• Improvements to reporting and the International finance control environment

Technical Skills

• Qualified Accountant – CIMA/ACCA/ACA

• Strong control mindset

• Continuous improvement mindset with relevant experience in their previous role

• Good understanding of process and systems in previous role

Commercial Skills

• Good interpersonal skills

• Experience of group reporting

• Retail experience not necessary

Systems Skills

• ERP Finance systems experience

• SAP and BPC preferable

• Excel
