In line with its international growth, Liebherr’s venture into the United States began in 1970. Within a couple of years, the company expanded and completed its production facilities in Newport News, VA for its product line of hydraulic excavators. It was later converted into Liebherr’s manufacturing facility for mining trucks and remains home to Liebherr Mining Equipment Newport News, Co. In addition to its production facility, Liebherr markets a wide variety of products and technologies through its companies located across the United States. The companies are Liebherr- Aerospace Saline, Inc., Liebherr Gear Technology, Inc., Liebherr Automation Systems, Co., and Liebherr USA, Co., the umbrella company for eight divisions that are positioned across the United States.
The Regional Sales Representative position is dedicated to developing Liebherr Aerospace success in the Aerospace Aftermarket business sector by growing services and ancillary revenues. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing effective service to all internal and external customers by utilizing excellent communications and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of Liebherr product and support programs. This individual must handle multiple issues and priorities while displaying a “grow the business” acumen.
Scope of Duties :
· Maintain proximity to and awareness of assigned customer accounts
· Effectively qualify customers for the placement of Company products and services
· Utilize Company resources and processes to collaboratively develop and justify business cases
· Offer, negotiate, and close long term contracts in support of Company objectives
· Perform other sales related duties incidental to the work described herein
· Serve as primary contact for customer in relation to account management
· Effectively manage assigned accounts with goal of customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth
· Solicit and respond to request for proposals for assigned customer accounts
· Participate in resolution of high level customer issues
· Conduct periodic business reviews and customer relationship management visits for assigned customer accounts
· Monitor aerospace market conditions and in particular impact on assigned customer accounts
· Assist in creation of customer specific business cases to be developed through the LSL Sales Campaign process
· Complete commercial sales trip reports for internal communication of customer status and concerns
· Develop and deliver sales and commercial support presentations to the customer in an effective and standardized manner
· Attend industry conference and trade shows
· Ability to travel 40-50% of the time. Travel is primarily domestic and scheduled 2-3 weeks in advance.
· May be required to work overtime
Qualifications :
· Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
· Demonstrated record of executing sales and achieving targets
· Proficient in MS Office software, especially MS Excel
· Excellent oral/written communication skills
· Well-developed presentation skills
· Excellent customer relationship management skills
· Strong customer empathy and satisfaction orientation
