Job description

The Quality Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration of applicable quality systems and directives that result in compliance with corporate and company policies, procedures, instructions, specifications, and customer requirements at Liebherr Mining Equipment Newport News Co. (LME).

Responsibilities:

· Assists Quality Systems Manager with designing and maintaining the quality management system.
· Assists with activities related to ISO.
· Works directly with Quality Systems Manager to prepare training materials on quality related subjects.
· Focuses on assisting the Quality Systems Manager with improving systems and processes to satisfy internal customer needs.
· Provides administration duties to control company-wide documents in the BMS.
· Assists employees on document control inquires and procedures.
· Maintains document-filing systems for electronic and paper documents.
· Assists with the development and maintenance of document control procedures.
· Facilitates the initiation of and monitor SharePoint workflows for review and approval of controlled documents.
· Ensures that submitted documents are compliant to the document control procedure.
· Coordinates document control functions with all departments in the organization.
· Performs regular audits of controlled documents and reports deficiencies to document owners.
· Produces and makes readily available recurring reports, graphs, and charts.
· Provides administration and maintenance of product records and related procedures.
· Performs miscellaneous clerical tasks including orders of office supplies and maintenance orders.

Competencies:

· A combination of related education and experience equivalent to an Associate’s degree (in IT or Computer Science preferred).
· At least three (3) years of related experience.
· Demonstrable knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.)
· Excellent command of the English language, verbal and written.
· Experience with computer and software packages including but not limited to; Web Based Communication Boards (i.e. SharePoint), Internet Explorer, Adobe Acrobat etc.
· Additional Requirements:
· Travel domestically and internationally up to 5% of the time.
· Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver license and passport.
· Ability to maintain Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) certification.
