Experience life at Lidl and learn what it takes to be part of our team. Over the 48 week placement, you’ll see all sides of the business, gaining great insight into sales and logistics, with the opportunity to learn more about either supply chain, property or administration. With a range of training opportunities to develop your leadership, management and communications skills, this is not work experience, this is an exciting future in retail.

What you'll do

Through a proven rotational structure, our placement will give you the best exposure to a variety of areas, described below:

·  Sales

 Starting as a Customer Assistant, you'll understand the basics of Lidl and take on management responsibilities, giving you a well-rounded view of how our stores operate whilst testing your leadership skills.

·  Logistics

This module will give you a great insight into our warehousing operations. You'll learn how to select products for orders, manage deliveries and gain exposure into managing a team of up to 200.

 

·  Supply Chain / Administration / Property

Join one of our office-based teams and learn more about a future where you can thrive, working alongside our talented teams on a range of essential tasks and projects.

·  Regional Project

Your regional management team will give you the responsibility and autonomy to run your very own project, giving you exposure to project management with the opportunity to have a lasting impact on the business. Past projects have improved our audits, customer service training and property negotiations.

·  Head Office Experience

Spend 2 weeks with our Head Office team, working with one or two departments to discover what life is like inside our UK HQ.

The time will fly, but it’s an incredibly rewarding opportunity. You will experience a placement year like no other, build your leadership skills and find the direction you want to take your career.

What you'll need

·  You’ll be studying for an undergraduate degree in any subject. If you’ve got some work, volunteering or extra-curricular experience, we’re keen to hear from you.
·  A full UK/EU driving licence by September 2021.
·  To live - or be able to relocate - within a one-hour commute of your chosen location.
·  To be legally entitled to work in the UK on a full time basis for the duration of your placement.

Our assessment centre’s take place in the regions with expected dates to be within the months January or February 2021.
