We are looking for a confident and motivated Assistant Team Manager to join the Accounts Department within our Accounts Payable team. A highly organised, vibrant and fast paced Department, responsible for ensuring payment deadlines for the UK are met. As you join our Head Office in Wimbledon, you’ll join an atmosphere where people thrive from the fast pace of the retail sector. With your conscientious nature, exceptional organisational skills, and impeccable attention to detail you will play a key role in driving the performance of your department. What you'll do

·  Managing a large team in processing of invoices in line with SLA’s
·  Liaising with suppliers and regional colleagues and attending cross departmental meetings
·  Managing incoming emails and calls – ensuring communication is kept to SLA’s
·  Coaching and mentoring the team assisting with their development
·  Assisting in recruitment processes
·  Planning and implementing basic training for new, international and non-specialist employees
·  Prioritising conflicting deadlines, organising and following up the tasks of the team
·  Liaising with various internal Head Office Departments responding to last minute challenges and requests as they arise
·  Overseeing the monthly reporting to ensure the teams excellent delivery is maintained
·  Indicating potential for improvement and developing appropriate measures jointly with other business departments
·  Further developing and optimising processes
·  General ad hoc office management duties

What you'll need

·  Previous experience line managing employees is essential  
·  Previous experience in Accounts essential
·  Strong numerical skills with a keen eye for detail
·  Excellent organisation skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
·  Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
·  A confident communicator, able to manage entrusted tasks and direct exposure to internal departments, senior management and external partners
·  Flexible, used to problem solving and capable of demonstrating initiative
·  A dynamic, confident approach to resolving queries
·  Positive with a hands–on approach
·  German language is desirable but not essential
