Reporting in to the People and Site Liaison Manager, the role is responsible for developing, writing and delivering training to maintain a competent workforce to support Managed Services in achieving its business goals.

The trainer will equip operational teams with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation essential to carry out their work related tasks and activity, as well as carry out refresher training as and when required. Delivery of training will follow both tactical and strategic approaches. The role holder must therefore evidence a sound ability to engage and communicate information articulately, as well as demonstrating a proven track record of having successfully delivered in a comparable role within a similar operations environment.

The ability to plan and organise one's workload effectively, working to tight deadlines is essential.

The role will operate within the Operations Support team, collaborating with several internal functions e.g. the Operation, other operations support areas, HR, L&D and clients.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Build core knowledge within mobilisation team during set up activities for each engagement in order to produce training material that is aligned to the operational procedures
- Build and deliver soft skills and technical training to high standard including refresher training
- Attend 'train the trainer' sessions with client to supplement knowledge of specific processes and familiarisation with materials and delivery formats prior to roll-out
- Organise, monitor and feedback results from any testing and accreditation requirements which form part of the training programmes
- Organise, monitor and feedback results from PKT (product knowledge testing) to the operations management team
- Collaborate with the T&C team to ensure the effective co-ordination of activity, events, and communications across Operations to enable consistency and utilisation of resources
- Maintain accurate training logs at all times
- May be required to provide support and cover for the People and Site Liaison Manager
- Collaborate with Operations Managers to solve specific training problems through focused, qualitative solutions
- Have an understanding of e-learning techniques to create and deliver e-learning packages
- Maintain an up to date working knowledge of the financial services market and all regulation

Skills & Experience Required

- Min 3 yrs in an operational environment, where at least 2 yrs has been spent within a training function
- Proven experience of assessing needs for and writing training and assessment material
- Good communication and relationship management skills
- Proven ability to work with other functions, including cross-divisional and external suppliers to achieve business objectives
- Awareness of relevant legislation, procedures and processes
- Preferred background in Financial services industry, including AML/KYC and customer contact teams
- Strong training and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to conduct and embed 'train the trainer' activities
- Structured approach to communication types based on recipient and content
