Job description

We are looking for a Operations Supervisor Warehousing to join our growing team in Luxembourg.

Your Role

The Operations Supervisor Contract Logistics is responsible for the continuous improvement of warehouse operations by guiding and developing the warehouse staff as well as monitoring and evaluating the operations on the shopfloor. The Operations Supervisor Contract Logistics supports the Warehouse Manager Contract Logistics in pro-actively providing solutions to further optimise processes.

Your Responsibilities

Shopfloor Management:

·  Develop workload-planning based on customer needs with strong involvement of Customer Service
·  Train Shiftleaders in the usage of needed tools and files
·  Challenge Shiftleaders in doing optimized Staff planning
·  Guidance in regards to prioritization of workload
·  Constant Follow-up on daily workload in close cooperation and alignment between customer service and warehouse operations
·  Evaluate and implement any actions to drive synergies across the operational teams
·  Follow-up of open action items
·  Provide guidance to action owners
·  Control achievement within agreed timelines

Coaching and training of staff

·  Monitor and supervise training progress of ongoing trainings
·  Define future training needs based on skills matrix, business development and future customer requirements

Performance Management

·  Daily evaluation of Key Performance Indicators
·  Identify performance problems and providing potential solutions to warehouse manager after alignment with Shiftleaders and Customer Service

Operations Management

·  Understanding of customer SOP’s and requirements as well as securing translation into daily business
·  Initiating Continuous Improvement-Projects with Shiftleaders
·  Monitoring of invoiced activities vs. real activities performed in close cooperation with controlling and management

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Several years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations and staff management
·  Highly interested in growing the performance, the capabilities, the ownership and the independency of the team and its individuals
·  Good knowledge of storage systems and all techniques used in warehouses and KPI's
·  Analytical and binding working manner
·  Very good communication skills
·  Ability to make decisions under time pressure and in stressful situations
·  Strong affinity with required customer quality standards
·  Language skills: German and English, basic knowledge in French is an asset
