Customs Bond Administrator

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Customs Bond Administrator for our British Airways contract based in Birmingham.

Your Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the general administration of our bonded warehouse ensuring compliance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environment statutory legislation, as well promoting a culture of awareness and compliance of standards set by the Company and the Customer. This role supports all of BA warehousing inbound and outbound activity operating over 7 days a week. Flexibility within the role is essential and shift patterns associated with this role is any 5 from 7 0600 – 2200.

Your Responsibilities

·  Processing the Bond Inbound on CIEL & Duty Management system 

·  Dealing with inbound & outbound movement of bonded and alcohols

·  Producing customs documentation for bond-to-bond transfer of bonded deliveries 

·  Processing the Bond Duty Paid orders on Duty Management System 

·  Creating an export documents and entries on the ICE system(Integrated Customs for Europe) for air and sea freight 

·  Organising booking collection for the sea freight containers 

·  Creating Certificates of Origin for authentication by the Chamber of Commerce for customer exports 

·  Applying for the Health Certificates for customer exports 

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Experience of working in a fast paced distribution environment, along with previous exposure to warehouse management systems 

·  Ability to adapt to and learn the Ciel warehouse management system within structured development timeframe; 

·  Organised and methodical, with a meticulous attention to detail and ability to balance conflicting priorities 

·  Must be a confident communicator, with a great team working approach; 

·  Good working knowledge of Excel, Word and Power-point    

·  Good experience of creating and maintaining spreadsheets with the ability to interpret data and raise issues 

·  Ability to work individually or as part of a team with excellent organisational skills 

·  Flexibility to task and hours 

·  Numerate with good attention to detail
