Rota 1: Saturday 10:00-18:00, Sunday 10:25-17:10 and Thursday 17:00-20:10 (16hrs per week)

Rota 2: Week 1:Monday - Saturday 10:00-15:30 with Wednesday off
Week 2: Monday - Friday 10:00-15:30 (average of 25hrs per week)

Rota 3: Sunday 06:30-10:30, Monday 06:00-10:00, Thursday 06:00-10:00 and Friday 06:00-10:00 (16hrs per week)

Rota 4: Week 1: Wednesday 06:00-15:00 and then Thursday - Saturday 06:00-14:00
Week 2: Monday - Wednesday 06:00-14:00 and Saturday 06:00-14:00 (average of 28hrs per week)

Rota 5: Full time Rota of 36hrs and 30mins with earliest start times of 06:00, late finishes of 18:30 and working alternate weekends.

This vacancy is a Christmas temporary sales assistant role. Christmas temporary stock assistant roles for this branch are also available. You can only apply for one of these two vacancies but you will be considered for both should you be invited to an assessment.

The earliest start date for this vacancy is the 28th October 2019 with a potential end date of early January 2020. We could offer you a shorter contract within these dates and exact dates will be discussed at assessment.

Group assessments will take place on various dates from the 8th October. You will need to be available for an assessment from this time.

There may be the opportunity to increase your hours, particularly in the weeks leading up to Christmas. Your contracted hours may change to accommodate this.

If you are successful at assessment for this position, you will be considered for a role in both our John Lewis and Waitrose shop in Exeter therefore you do not need to submit another application. Roles available include Retail Stock Assistant, Retail Sales Assistant, and Supermarket Assistant. Please note your preference of location at assessment.

Christmas is our busiest time of the year, so expect your day to be varied. We'll equip you with the skills and knowledge to advise customers with confidence. Your passion for selling will help our customers find and fall in love with the perfect gifts.

Working flexibly across the branch, no two days will be the same. From tinsel to toys, help us to delight our customers this Christmas.

Required desirable experience skills and qualifications

You may have had previous experience in Retail, but if not, don't worry. We've got all the tools, training and support to get you up to speed in no time at all.

There may be permanent opportunities available at the end of your contract however this cannot be guaranteed.
