Duties & Responsibilities

What's the role about?

John Lewis Partnership Commercial Vehicle Technicians are the lifeblood of our logistics network. Without them, our shelves would be empty and our customers disappointed. Our heavy goods vehicle technicians are encouraged to manage their own time, while being proactive to ensure our Commercial Fleet is maintained.

Can you see yourself in this role? A typical day may see yourself doing the following:

- Servicing and repairing any of our HGV Vehicles
- Carrying out services and repairs on the CV fleet
- Maintaining a compliant and safe working environment
- Attending a 'Partner Voice' session to help shape the direction of your department and wider business
- Enjoying a freshly made subsidised lunch in our Partner's Dining Room
- You will receive an annual tool allowance
- On site Partner parking
You will join a forward thinking team who are helping to shape our Partnership for the future .

Job Requirements

What you'll be doing

As a Technician you will carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance of the John Lewis Partnership Fleet in a professional and competent manner, ensuring you maintain a safe working environment.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

What you'll have:

To land this role as a Commercial Vehicle Technician you will need a City and Guilds 1,2,3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent qualification.

- A proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs

Required desirable experience skills and qualifications

What else could you bring:

- LGV C+E driving licence
- Good interpersonal and IT skills
- DCPC Card
- IRTEC and DCPC

- A knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and road worthiness
