Description

What’s the role about?

As part of the John Lewis Partnership’s Technology & Change Transformation, Infrastructure and Service management have a new organisational model. In the new world we have a third party providing infrastructure services and we are moving towards a more agile way of working. The service provider will charge using a new model based on units of resource.  This is a complex but effective means of measuring our consumption, charging accurately and realising savings quickly when we achieve them.

This role is an opportunity to work with the Service Operations Manager and the Infrastructure and Service Management leadership team to manage the measurement of resource utilisation and our billing.  This is crucial to delivering value for money for the Partnership and our strategic objectives in Technology & Change.  It is an exciting opportunity to be a key part of the team delivering a new way of working and directly supporting the commercial success of our third party relationships.

What you’ll be doing as a Billing Analyst:

In this role you will use your skills in managing complex datasets to understand and validate the usage of resources as part of the third party contract.  You will use this view to breakdown, validate and challenge charges each month. You will contribute to the forecast for charges and utilisation.  You will identify and report on key risks.

Ultimately you will ensure our charges are accurate and provide the necessary insight for the leadership to effectively manage the relationship and service with the third party.

What you’ll have:

·
You will be skilled at building effective relationships with off shore suppliers and key Partnership stakeholders, supported by excellent communication.

·
The ability to manipulate complex sets of data and draw conclusions and spot patterns.

·
Advanced proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets.

·
Experience in dealing with IT managed services providers and working in a complex IT service environment.

·
Possessing very strong attention to detail, you will be tenacious in investigating and solving problems.

What else you could bring:

·
Experience in financial management.

·
Experience with managed service provider charging models, including ARCs/RRCs and PxQ pricing.

Additional Information:

We have a number of different ways to work flexibly so at your interview feel free to talk about what flexibility means to you. There are no guarantees, however, it may open the door to not only a new role but a new way of working.
