Your Responsibilities

 

In this position you will be a member of the John Deere User Experience team. This team supports the experience design of our in-cab displays, mobile applications, web experiences, and future automated solutions. In addition, you may provide support to various engineering teams across product lines by providing insights from a UX/Human Factors perspective.

           Your duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

·  Review existing research or analyze existing products, applying the findings to a specific problem and/or process
·  Conducting user research activities including contextual inquiry, surveys, think-aloud testing and ethnography
·  Developing sketches, mockups, design concepts, and rapid prototyping of displays, mobile applications and websites or physical product mockups, working within and in addition to a design language
·  Plan and participate in user validation events as required by the project

 

           What Skills You Need:

·  User-centered design practices, user research and testing skills, user interface design or usability testing experience
·  Currently pursuing an advanced degree in human factors, human computer interaction, engineering psychology, psychology, or industrial design. (Masters or Ph.D. preferred)
·  Desired cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Minimum cumulative GPA required of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale​
