Title: Part-Time Student - Manufacturing Engineering - Waterloo, IA - 54057 

Your Responsibilities

The majority of duties the candidate will encounter are:

·  assist manufacturing engineers with tasks in John Deere's business software known as SAP
·  analyze data in excel format for quality and other improvements
·  create job aids using various Microsoft office software to aid the production floor in its operations
·  assist manufacturing engineers with audits including safety, ergonomic, and quality

What It Takes

·  Demonstrate ability to:
·  use a computer for analysis and communication
·  organize various information into logical categories
·  work with a diverse workforce
·  Currently seeking an Associate or Bachelor degree preferably in a Engineering, Technical field, Computer Science or Business Analytics
·  Must be a full-time student at a local university or college (Hawkeye, UNI, Wartburg, etc.)
·  If currently attend a community college, must be planning to pursue a 4-year degree
·  Must be available to work a minimum of 12 months
·  Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
·  Graduation date of December 2020 or later 
·  Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
·  16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year
·  35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester

A strong candidate will also have

·  Ability to:
·  use various Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
·  use Tableau, QlikView or advanced Excel (PowerPivot, PowerQuery)
·  experience in machine shop or manufacturing environment
·  use CAD/CAM software (Creo, AutoCAD, FeatureCAM, etc.)
