Your Responsibilities

 

As a Legal Administrative Assistant at John Deere Corporate Headquarters in Moline, Illinois, you will assist attorneys and paralegals with their job responsibilities and projects by providing clerical and administrative support in litigation, compliance and environmental areas. In addition you will:

 

·  Provide support with copying, scanning, filing and organization of sensitive documents
·  Process mail, emails and phone calls between external and internal customers, including external attorneys, Deere management, business clients and in-house attorneys and paralegals
·  Produce correspondence and assist with presentations utilizing sensitive and confidential information
·  Schedule, coordinate and facilitate meetings and assist in preparation of materials
·  Maintain appointment calendars for the Law Department members
·  Prepare travel arrangements (both international and domestic) for attorneys and department staff, with flights, rental cars, hotels, conference registrations, dinner reservations and conference room reservations
·  Create expense reports for attorneys and paralegals
·  Review and route legal filings regarding bankruptcies and address requests for class action recoveries
·  Participate on projects related to specific department objectives

What Skills You Need
 

·  One or more years’ experience in an administrative role
·  Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments with varying deadlines
·  Strong written and oral communication skills
·  Experience handling accounting issues
·  Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Sharepoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
·  Ability to utilize electronic tools such as video conferencing, Skype and a travel & expense reporting system 
·  Capability to work quickly and accurately under deadline pressures
·  Absolute accuracy and attention to detail
·  Experience handling confidential information 

 

What Makes You Stand Out

 

·  Administrative assistant experience working in a legal environment
·  Understanding of litigation processes and environmental issues
·  Experience scheduling travel for both domestic and international arrangements 

 

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

·  Bachelor’s degree, certificate or degree as a legal secretary or equivalent work experience
