Your Responsibilities

·  As a John Deere Part Time Student - IOS/Android Developer you will primarily focus on development and maintenance of applications aimed at a vast number of diverse IOS and Android devices.
·  Your primary focus will be the development of IOS and Android applications and their integration with front end & back-end services.
·  You will be working along-side other engineers and developers on different layers of the infrastructure.
·  You will work in a fun, friendly, and fast paced environment consisting of team members with various backgrounds and engineering disciples to analyze and develop IOS and Android applications.
·  Projects are operated in the Agile environment and one will need to be able to handle multiple projects at any given time.
·  You will also be required to present your findings in onsite or offsite meetings and translate your findings/data into understandable documents.

What It Takes

·  Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
·  Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code for the iOS and Android platform
·  Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
·  Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
·  Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
·  Pursuing an MS or BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent IOS/Android development experience
·  Must be registered as a full-time student at University of Illinois - Champaign
·  Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
·  Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
·  16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year
·  35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester

A strong candidate will also have

·  Strong knowledge of IOS and/or Android
·  Proficient with Objective-C or Swift and Android languages
·  Experience with iOS and Android frameworks & utilization of libraries.
·  Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
·  Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
·  Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
·  Technical ability to manage software configurations in GitHub
