Title: Engineering Technician - 59421 

Your Responsibilities

As an Engineering Technician for Augusta Works, you will execute PLC based cycle tests to determine component durability. In addition, you will:

·  Perform tests on machines and components to meet product verification & validation (PV&V) requirements
·  Analyze activities and document results to support EPDP projects
·  Primary technician for test cell operation during normal operation as well as test cell improvement/capital projects
·  Execute the plans and troubleshoot issues as they arise 
·  Utilize tools for PLC programming and data collection

What Skills You Need

·  Ability to read pneumatic and electrical schematics, as well as design test stands (utilizing electrical and pneumatics) without oversight
·  2 or more years of knowledge and experience with PLC programming and test sensors (pressure transducers, load cells, thermocouples, strain gauges, proxy, etc...)
·  General knowledge of complete machine makeup (engines, structures, hydraulics, electrical and cooling systems) 
·  Knowledge of industry and John Deere procedures (Engineering procedures as well as governmental regulations)

What Makes You Stand Out

Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:

·  Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite of tools
·  2 or more years of knowledge and experience with development in control logic and PLC programming
·  2 or more years of knowledge and experience with diesel or gasoline powered vehicles and tractors

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following: 

·  Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (electrical, mechanical, engineering, or technology)
