Title: Embedded Software Engineer - 60382 
Your Responsibilities

As an Embedded Software Engineer , for the John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG-Urbandale) , you will work to design, develop and test software components for our most sophisticated control and automation features.  In addition, you will:

·  Work closely with team members to ensure software meets product specifications and customer needs.
·  Perform product design, testing and/or analysis work.
·  Provide input to design solutions and participate in design reviews.
·  Develop recommendations within established guidelines
·  Apply deep and broad understanding of embedded software development technology to develop creative applications for ISG including Gen4 and its next generation products.
·  Lead in the resolution of technical issues within the group and external.

What Skills You Need

·  3 or more years software development experience
·  2 or more years of embedded software product development using C++
·  Object Oriented Analysis/design experience
·  Must be a self-starter, able to work well without close direction
·  Must interface successfully with engineers and personnel of other disciplines

What Makes You Stand Out

·  Experience with Object Oriented Analysis/Design (OOA/D)
·  Experience using Linux, QT, UI frameworks, SQL database
·  Experience with Agile software development practices
·  Experience with Test driven Development (TDD) and software test automation
·  Experience with UDP, TCP/IP, CAN networking communication protocols

Education (or equivalent work experience)

·  Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Ag, Science or Technology related discipline
