Your Responsibilities

 

As a Cloud Data Engineer you will provide data services for WW Parts IT organization. This position will assist with migration of Parts applications and reporting environments to the Cloud while also supporting existing legacy environments. In addition, this position will contribute to Parts data, reporting and analytics strategies. Further responsibilities include;

 

·  Support the migration of existing on-premise applications and reporting environments to Amazon Web-Services (AWS)
·  Assist with cost controls to keep cloud use balanced between needs and budgets
·  Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting issues with cloud hosted infrastructure and drive towards timely problem resolution
·  Develop, implement, and support methodologies, standards, and tools for data management such as metadata management, data modeling, data transformation, data quality, data integration, and data security
·  Maintain a strong and collaborative relationship with the business and IT while serving as an advocate of Parts data processes and solutions
·  Ensure project quality by adhering to standards in development, testing and quality methodologies
·  Evaluate new technologies in different platforms, such as AWS/Cloud, to identify innovative solutions and streamline data management processes

What Skills You Need

 

·  4+ years of experience developing, testing and implementing major Information Technology programs or projects that are broad in scope or multi-unit/cross divisional
·  Experience with John Deere Parts data, processes and applications
·  Experience building and supporting global, production-scale, cloud-based systems that are business critical using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
·  Coding experience with Informatica, Java, or Python
·  Experience working in an Agile development

 

What Makes You Stand Out

 

·  Experience with DevOps principles and lean development
·  Professional level Amazon Web Services certifications
·  Experience with on-premise DB2 and/or other relational database management systems (RDMS)
·  Knowledge of various ETL techniques and frameworks

 

Education (or equivalent work experience)

 

·  Bachelor's degree in in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology
