Function: Manufacturing Engineering 

Your Position:

Your Responsibilities:

Plan, Coordinate and Execute Maintenance Automation and Controls Activities of Manufacturing Equipment and Systems.

Supports Manufacturing Engineers to perform Controls and Automation improvements to improve safety, quality and efficiency of the equipment.

Automation and Controls Maintenance Engineer assumes the responsibility to maintain automation equipment operational.

Support production ramp up processes, by identifing and solving issues related to Auomation and Controls areas.

Develop Maintenance Activities plans based on Equipment specification and manufacturer manuals, to provide a guidance to maintenance crew.

Assures performance and provides continuous improvement for critical metrics related to maintenance. Up time, MTBF, MTTR.

Takes responsibility of the parts and materials used to repair the equipment, modifications, etc.

Develop the spare part list for manufacturing equipment and identifies critical parts that might impact the operation.

Takes responsibility for specific installations, commissioning, test and start up of new equipment and systems.

Provides troubleshooting of the manufacturing equipment, to support production.Responds to critical equipment shut down events affecting manufacturing operations.

Participates on the continuous improvement efforts.

Provides life, safety and building code analysis and supports and implements programs withinthe organization to prevent injuries and illnesses.

Assist in the identification and resolution of potential environmental, safety, ergonomic and health hazards.;

 

What Skill You Need:

Specialized skills, knowledge and abilities needed to perform the essential functions of the job. Background in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, power systems, etc.). - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.

Knowledge of product, process, and facilities design. - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.

Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools. - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.

Knowledge of safety, quality and environmental laws, regulations and goals. - Has a general understanding of the principles and uses the knowledge with assistance.

Knowledge of contract management and Indirect Materials& Systems (IM&S) Supply Management Strategies. - Has a general understanding of the principles and uses the knowledge with assistance.;

Education:

Formal education or training required to perform the essential functions of the job. Includes degrees, certifications, licenses and/or registration requirements.

Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience.
