Healthcare PDS Business Development Position description

Currently, we are seeking a Senior Level individual to join our Houston Project and Development Services (PDS) Healthcare team in Business Development.

POSITION SUMMARY

·  Exceptional Business Development skills and ability to close Healthcare PDS business opportunities in conjunction with Healthcare Brokerage
·  Delivers senior level healthcare relationship management over accounts
·  Existing institutional healthcare, senior level relationships a must
·  Provide superior client service

·  Enhance own professional and personal skills
·  Meet assigned financial targets
·  Lead Project Delivery Team and its activities
·  Serve as JLL primary interface with Client and Project Delivery team
·  Supervise Design and Construction teams, communicate goals and project status with Project Delivery team

Essential Functions

·  Ability to develop and cultivate business relationships with existing and prospective clients. 
·  A strong working knowledge of accounting and financial reporting, budgeting, scheduling and process as they relate to healthcare operations
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, professional manner and computer literacy
·  Ability to market services in conjunction with JLL’s Healthcare Brokerage team with the intent of winning brokerage and project management business and building relationships with healthcare clients in Houston and surrounding areas
·  Develop leads from warm and cold calls to providers of Healthcare Services
·  Coordinate leads, pursuits and presentations with Healthcare Brokerage
·  Oversee preparation of marketing materials, RFQ/RFP responses and presentations for JLL pursuits in partnership with RFQ/RFP response team
·  Demonstrated ability to support or lead Business Development initiatives as assigned or requested
·  Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients
·  Follow established client policies, objectives, attendance, safety, environmental and inspection control guidelines
·  Establish and maintain project goals and success criteria that meets the client needs
·  Build rapport with client representatives and ensure scope of project and outside business forces affecting the project is fully understood and that specific deliverables are fully understood with performance standards and other relevant criteria
·  Act as the primary senior level contact with the client throughout the duration of the project
·  Assist Management Committee and Region Manager in the establishment and refinement of best practices of standards of excellence
·  Assist in training, mentoring, coaching, annual performance review and developing JLL team members in the skills and understanding of firm procedures, methodology and practices expected for a successful project implementation
·  Assist Local PDS Team in meeting AGM (Adjusted Gross Margin) numbers on a Regional and National level as determined on a yearly basis by the Management Executive Committee
·  Comply with all Jones Lang LaSalle policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practice
·  Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)
·  In depth knowledge of in Texas healthcare construction, JCAHO, ADA, and HHSC
·  Working knowledge of Federal, State and local laws and regulations related to real estate and land development, local entitlement and permitting processes
·  Ability to regularly communicate analyzed data to client and team to achieve project goals
·  Strong working knowledge of architectural drawings and furniture and healthcare space planning concepts
·  Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed
·  Highly organized with strong analytical skills
·  Ability to successfully communicate (speak and write clearly and concisely) with architects, contractors, client’s representatives, and team members to get message across and have desired effect
·  Previous experience effectively mentoring healthcare project managers at various levels within the organization/team
·  Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Project software
·  Ability to interact with multiple clients and proactively anticipate their needs
·  Experience providing advisory on FF&E, Transition Planning and Owner move-in

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

·  Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution in Business, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, strongly preferred
·  Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in business development and managing design and construction of multiple healthcare projects across a several county area.
·  Experience pursuing numerous projects simultaneously.
·  Experience working with landlords, developers, and institutional owners.
