Job description



Position Objectives: 

·Operates site facilities equipment and systems without error to obtain maximum availability

·Completes assigned maintenance in accordance with approved schedules

·Works with others at the site to exceed customer expectations

·  Provides suggestions for continuous improvements in the areas of process improvement and cost reduction/savings.
·  Effective and efficient coordination of CFTs and FTs in the performance of operations and maintenance.
·  Facilitates communication and information flow for effective risk mitigation, safe operations, other shift coordination, and teambuilding.

Responsibilities include:

·  Provides hands on operation of site facilities equipment and processes in accordance with procedures and policies.
·  Collects data and performs rounds/readings.
·  Performs maintenance of site facilities equipment as appropriate to knowledge, skills, and certifications/licenses.
·  Monitors contractors for procedural, safety, environmental, and risk mitigation process compliance with established procedures/policies/laws.
·  Monitors assigned CFTs and FTs for procedural, safety, environmental, and risk mitigation process compliance with established procedures/policies/laws.
·  Provides coordination of the CFTs and FTs for the work required on their shifts.
·  Provides coordination with other shift Lead CFTs for work continuation and safe operations at the site.
·  Provides training (within their expertise) and coordinates the training for the CFTs and FTs on their shift.
·  Provides technical expertise and assistance as required.  Lead CFTs are expected to be subject matter experts in at least one area or site system.
·  Responds to emergent situations at the site as required
·  Other client supporting tasks as assigned

Required skills:  

·Ability to coordinate, plan, and schedule work on their shifts as assigned.

·Strong practical and application of skill and knowledge of site facilities equipment

·  Customer relationship building
·  Technical understanding and communication to peers/management, with customers, and vendors.
·  Understanding and implementation of risk mitigation processes
·  Emergency response
·  Ability to do on the job training in the trades as appropriate.

Desired skills: 

·  Procedure development
·  Reliability Centered Maintenance program experience

Education or Equivalent Experience:

Required:

·Associates Degree or technical certification or equivalent for trade represented

·  CFC Universal License and/or Licensed Electrician or equivalent
·  More than 5 years experience in mission critical environments

Desired:

·  2 years data center facilities experience
·  1 year supervisory or lead experience
