Summary
Ensures standardization and maintenance of systems that tie the latest global technical capability information and quoting excellence in meeting new business development requirements. The position is defined as the "developer and liaison between global manufacturing capability and quoting systems". The systems for supporting the smooth information flow between manufacturing capability and quoting systems are designed to deliver best-in-class technology information along with simplistic yet robust quoting systems.

Responsibilities

·  The SEM supports both Manufacturing Engineering Operations and Business Development on simplifying complex data collection and systems. These systems are intended to improve customer communication and decrease the time required to provide business quotes and global technical capability information.
·  Develops and maintains worldwide site capability metrics.
·  Communicates and updates each of iQor’s manufacturing facility capabilities per a set periodic schedule.
·  Establishes and improves the capability metric process to simplify and reduce the time required to maintain the global system.
·  Effectively communicates the information to all critical functional teams including operations and business units.
·  Develops and maintains worldwide capacity information
·  Communicates, monitors and update each of iQor’s manufacturing facility capacity for communication to the BU team for effective business planning strategies.
·  maintenance of iQor quoting tools.
·  Maintains quoting tools to include all new gear sets and systems level improvements.
·  Works with Operations and BU designated teams to streamline the quoting process.
·  Reviews and organizes incoming quote packages for the Sales team.
·  Completes reviews of quotes prepared by sites for accuracy as required by multiregional businesses.
·  Provides leadership in the quote package standardization.
·  Assures special customer requests are complete and easy to access.
·  Special charts, diagrams are clear and legible.
·  Well organized and complete.
·  Works with cross functional leaders to develop new and improved quoting strategies that include all functional areas into one model.
·  Knowledge Path Development and iQor web maintenance.
·  Develops and implements new knowledge paths for the ME function.
·  Identifies new Paths for alignment and education between the ME and Business Development teams.
·  Assists the Director of ME in maintaining updated/accurate information and timely releases on iQor web.
·  Market Research and BD Support.
·  Assists BD senior staff and work closely with Engineering to understand/develop new strategic business plans and effectively communicate the requirement and demand.
·  Participates in potential new customer meetings and audits as required. Effectively present iQor processes, initiatives, and strengths to current and potential customers
·  Global Communications.
·  Maintains a global prospective when making process, procedure or gear decisions.
·  Coordinates interplant initiatives and facilitate the sharing of best practices
·  Monitors/provides guidance on metric data to assist with the overall improvement of site performance around the globe.
·  Effective, balanced sharing of initiatives and effort to align Operations and Business Unit quoting activities.
·  Supports new customer development and introduction into global sites.
·  Supports the improved education of iQor’s engineering team.
·  Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

·  1-2 years of experience in similar role, preferably in a contract manufacturing environment along with 3 years of internal iQor experience
·  Minimum of one year of job related role requiring multicultural communication and education. Travel required.

Education Requirement
Bachelor's Degree, First Degree, Trade/Vocational School certificate or Equivalent required. Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Technology, Industrial Engineering or related field preferred.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individual will be required to stand and walk or otherwise traverse in order to be accessible to the production floor for extended periods of time. The person in this position will be required to regularly exert at least 10 lbs. of force to push, pull or otherwise move objects and may be required to carry or lift objects up to 50 lbs. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and/or documents; viewing a computer terminal; and/or visual inspection of products or machinery. The person in this position may need to occasionally sit, type, climb stairs, bend, reach, kneel, or twist for minimal periods of time. Employees should not attempt to lift, pull or push a load in excess of 50 lbs. without assistance. Care should always be taken when lifting, pushing or pulling in an awkward position.
