Your day to day
Duties and Responsibilities FINANCIAL RETURNS• Maintains inventories of all Hotel property in each designates staff room or apartment. PEOPLE• Ensures that all new employees are given staff housing orientation & that the checklist for each employees is filed in Personnel. GUEST EXPERIENCE• Consistently provides and maintains the highest standards of staff/guest care and service.• Have a good knowledge of all hotel facilities and be able to answer staff/guest questions in a quick, polite and helpful manner.• Handles any staff/guest complaints or problems promptly and ensure that all resolved/unresolved incidents are reported to your Manager. RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS• Assists Personnel Manager in organization and plans of staff housing distribution to all staff.• Controls and plans of hygiene, cleaning and safety of staff housing• Daily inspections of staff housing for faults or irregularities and report to the Personnel Manager for clarification.• Informs Personnel Manager of any breaches of House rules by any staff.• Reports maintenance request to POMEC department daily.• Prepares a monthly report of outstanding maintenance orders for discussion with Personnel Manager.• Inspects and daily work schedule planning of Staff House Cleaners and Houseman.• Trains staff house cleaner and Houseman.• Implement Housing Policies and Procedures.• Liaising with the building owners/owner’s representative/contractors.• Manage vacant beds to achieve desired occupancy levels.• Coordination with maintenance team for more complex work.• Liaise with occupants regarding issues and concerns.• Accompanies Asst.HR Manager / HR Manager on weekly staff house inspection.• Holds stocks for Staff Quarters and for holding key and necessary supplementary items for concerned employees.• Orders of employee housing cleaning materials and necessary supplementary items.• Maintains the standard of furnishing, upholstery, curtain and carpets.• Ensures that all sick employees are well looked after and Isolation cases are dealt with according to standard.• Assists your head of Department to roster staff effectively.• Effectively supervise the departmental operation whilst on duty.• Carries out any reasonable tasks requested by Management.• To ensure the departmental area is maintained in a safe, hygienic and presentable state and to report any damage to furniture, fittings and equipment to Manager.• Demonstrates a working knowledge of fire prevention and to ensure that staff follow the hotel evacuation procedures on hearing the alarm.
What we need from you
Minimum 2 -3 years relevant experience in similar position in a five star property.Strong understanding and working knowledge of maintenance jobsGood communicator at all levelsFlexible attitude to workAssertiveAble to work on own initiativeExperience of working in a multi-cultural environmentGood in Excel
